Abstract
            Indonesia is an archipelago that stretches from Sabang to Merauke. Very strategic geographical location, which is between two continents and two oceans. Indonesia has a population of over 220 million, an amount that is not less than that of other countries. Indonesia is a big country, a country that has a myriad of natural resources of its own that no other country in the world. Uniqueness and diversity of cultures stretching from Sabang to Merauke is a national asset that is priceless. Youth and students are equally identified with the "agent of change". Words change always closely attached to the identity of the student who is also known as the young intellectual. Was students being pinned magnitude of hope, hope for change and reform in various fields that exist in this country. His duty to implement and realize positive change, making progress in a country can be reached with Indonesia boast.

           This essay shaped paper uses a case study approach which draw conclusions from the various problems that occur in a society which will then generate a real relevance in making changes to Indonesia as a youth and university student as agents of change that.

          Indonesian youth is the future of the nation. Therefore, every youth Indonesia, both of which still existed as students, or who have completed their education are important actors are very reliable for realizing the ideals of enlightenment life of our nation in the future. 2.      Inviting the youth and students to think critically in response to any changes that occur around us, especially matters relating to the integrity of the Republic and the survival of the people of Indonesia.

1.              Youth, university student and change

              The central role of the struggle of the youth and students as the young intellect gives a ray of hope to be able to fix and give positive changes in this country. No doubt, that change can not be separated and have become ingrained synchronization of the student body and soul.
Students and youth as heir to the civilization of the emergence of various movements tremendous positive changes in the pages of history and progress of a nation state. History has been incised with gold ink, that the youth, especially students always play a role in the changes in our country, major events in the world is always synonymous with the role of student in it.

           Starting from the movement of student organizations Indonesia in 1908, Boedi Oetomo. Movement that has set the goal of "harmonious progress for the country and the nation" has been born and is able to provide exceptional color change positively towards the development of the student movement for the advancement of the nation was formed Indonesia. Movement  other  university student, Mohammad Hatta pioneered the establishment of an organization consisting movement  university students who are studying in the Netherlands, namely Indische Vereeninging (which subsequently changed to the Association of Indonesia). The birth of the organization opens new page of history scholars and students at the vanguard of a nation with its primary mission "raise awareness of national and human rights among the people of Indonesia to gain independence”.

            The student movement did not stop there, the movement is growing increasingly fertile, class of 1928 that was driven by some student leaders including Soetomo (Indonesische Studie-club), Sukarno (the General Studie-club), until the formation also Student Association-Student Indonesia (GN), which is prototype organization has brought together the whole of the student movement in the year 1928, the university student movement class of 1928 gave rise to a idieologi and the spirit of unity all corners of Indonesia to shout out loud and keep it in the spirit of all components of the nation, we are sons and daughters of Indonesia claimed slaughterous one that spilled the blood of Indonesia, one nation is the nation of Indonesia, and uphold the language is Indonesian and until now we know as the oath of youth.

            Thus, the student movement is a process of expanding the role of students in public life. The presence of the  university student movement with a significant role in the changes directly to dismantle the old myth in society, that  university students have been considered as part of the academic community who are in an ivory tower, away from the problems faced by society. Therein lies the importance of a movement built, which is to be active and participatory role in the process of social change towards the better. In addition, a movement that is built will also improve overall student critical in view of the problems being dihapai society, both in the context of local,national and international.

            Admittedly, the student is just one of the actors involved in each momentum changes. Nevertheless, the student movement in every period of history is always able to put himself into the main actors at the forefront of change. This is what distinguishes students with actors other changes, such as academics, police, military and other elements of society. This situation is possible because the student is considered a neutral position and not in direct contact with various political interests. Moreover, as the young people who still do not have a dependency and economic responsibilities to the family and their position as potential intellectual, then the role as the originator of the initial idea, either at the level of praxis and discourse, it becomes very significant.

2. Role and function of university student

                                                         Critical thinking, democratic, and constructive always born out of the mindset of the students. The voices of students often represent and lift social reality that occurs in the community. The attitude of idealism encourages students to fight for an aspiration on the ruler, in their own way.

             In this case, the general student holds three roles and strategic functions, namely:

o   As a conveyor of truth (the agent of social control)

o   As a change agent (agent of change)

o   As the next generation future (iron stock)

           Dreams for the future of this nation lies in the hands of the youth, because the youth is a source of encouragement, hope, and change agents nation. Indonesia dream actually need to be prepared from now, it is necessary for young people who have good quality. Because Indonesia in the future is in dire need of qualified young people and have the mentality of anti-coruption.

            The country needs young men who have the expertise and intellectual and quite capable. The youth need to have certain skills to compete in the world of work. Indonesia in the future clearly requires a younger generation of professional and master of science in depth to win the competition at the same time realize the dream of Indonesia. This nation is awaiting the rise of young children to begin to realize the dream of Indonesia in the future. Therefore make sure every step that we do not only affect yourself, but also have an impact on Indonesia.By doing so, students still smelled fragrant populist social justice and solidarity.

         The role of students for the nation and this country is not just sitting at the table and listen to the lecturer to speak, but the students also have a variety of roles in implementing the changes to the Indonesian people, that role is as the next generation that went on and convey the values ​​of kindness to a people, as the generation replacement that replaces the damaged morale and behavior, as well as the generation of reformers that repair and renew damage and negative deviations that exist in some people.

         This role must always be maintained in the chest and terpartri Indonesian students both in the nation and students who were studying abroad. If this role could serve as a guideline for all students in Indonesia, the "spirit of change" it will still be able to continue to reside within the whole of indonesian student.

B.     Suggestions
            In this section the author wants to invite that in this case addressed to the younger generation of students, lecturers and teachers, all elements of good government in the area or in the center as well as all levels of society Indonesia widely in order to remain united in order to maintain integrity Homeland. Sometimes a trivial problem would be complex if there is no solidarity among us. Drafting hope there will be no discord in our beloved country so that the idealis of the Indonesian nation will be achived.

           English proverb says Student of Today, Leaders Tomorrow. The author, believes that the key to achieving that goal is in the hands of the younger generation. Therefore, keep the spirit in achieving what has been the goal of our lives.
